Book Review: Modern approach to Chemical Calculations by R C Mukherjee

The book by R C Mukherjee is the best possible guide for learning numerical chemistry for IIT-JEE preparation. It incorporates and amplifies features that enhance the understanding of concepts. The book is written in the language of mole, as the concept of mole is a basic tool in understanding chemistry. Sufficient fundamental principles have been provided before introducing problems. These principles, in the form of rules or equations, have been referred to throughout the book while solving problems. This helps readers in following each step of the solution of the problems.

The revision chapters 21 and 22 have been updated by including the questions asked in IIT-JEE of the recent past years. The consistent presentation helps to consolidate the concepts of thermodynamics. As the central concepts of chemical change are best understood in the sequence of chemical thermodynamics (Is the forward or the reverse reaction favoured?), chemical thermodynamics is discussed in chapte
