Sir, I was damn good in every subject till 10th but now, Maths became my worst subject. All my concepts are clear and also, I am able to solve almost every direct type problem (easier ones). But when I see JEE level questions, it seems that I can't solve them in spite of the fact, "they looks easy when our Maths teacher solve them". But, I want to solve them on my own because I have already lost so much confidence. Can you please suggest, how can I master, "Mathematics".? I wanna solve questions like my Maths teacher.
I JUST WANT IIT BOMBAY AND I HAVE 1.5 YEARs LEFT FOR MY PREPARATION. Please do answer. I'm doing 10 hours self study per day but what I could make in that much time is very less.
Firstly I would suggest stop pressuring yourself by subjecting conditions on your preparations. I understand the hopes and desire to join an IIT but losing your confidence under the pressure isn't going to help. Strategically plan your approach to the studies instead of counting hours, make the hours count. Coming to your issue if you are facing such complications in the subject then try baby approach, start of by looking at questions which are familiar to you then try attempting those compare your approach with the solution if it's correct then great otherwise compare and look where you went wrong, was it in calculation error then no worries follow the same pattern for a couple of more question otherwise if it was a conceptual error then revise your theory section again. It's just a matter of persistence, keep up to your class notes and try attempting the assignment questions which is supposed to be discussed in next class, this will give you confidence and will help you in focusing on lecture and always ask doubts in class if you are not comprehending what teacher is trying to say, remember you are learning for yourself so until you understand the theory properly, no point in letting it go. I hope this helps. All the best for your preparations.
