Sir l have grb op tandon for entire Chemistry. Are these books sufficient for IIT JEE or some other books required?
Added On:
OP tandon is good for Inorganic chemistry and particularly its exercise question is very fruitful. But for Physical chemistry i would suggest to go for RC Mukerjee. It is very nice book for Physical chemistry and for Organic chemistry i would suggest Arihant book but it will be better to take notes from any institute and that is the best way of preparing organic chemistry. The way of studying inorganic chemistry is to go through a lot of chemical equations, for physical chemistry solve a lot of numericals and for organic chemistry learn the basic concept to crack IIT JEE. ... Hi I am Om, an aspirant for IIT JEE. I am unable to apply concepts in Chemistry. But I am able to understand all concepts. What should I do?
Added On:
Hi Om, if you are able to understand concepts, then you should be able to solve questions. It is like in Chemistry you won't be getting same question like it has been taught to you in classes. For solving Organic Chemistry questions, you need to relate reactions and stuff with reactions and theory you did in your class. And the thing is you are supposed to know all concepts (not chapter wise). If you are still not able to solve questions, you should get help from your teacher, ask her how the solution is arrived, instead of just knowing solutions. Hope that it helped you. Regards, Punee...
