The student thus gets complete and undivided attention in class.

No, Spanedea does not provide video of recordings or lectures. Tutors and students join Spanedea's Live Class at the same time. The experience is similar to a tutor and student having a class in the same room.

Trial Pack, at INR 400 only, gives student trial classes with tutors shortlisted based preferences such as hourly rate, age, profile, schedule availability etc. If you don't find your best-fit tutor from among 400+ Spanedea tutors, you get your money back.

Trial class is the first class of a student with a particular tutor during which the student can evaluate the suitability and compatibility of the tutor as per her requirements. It also helps the tutor to ascertain if she wants to accept the concerned student.

Tutors are shortlisted based on various factors such as hourly rate, profile, tutor’s Internet speed etc. indicated by students while applying for Trial Pack. After the purchase of Trial Pack, fill the Tutor Preferences Form to set your tutor preferences.

It is a form through which the student sets her preferences on various parameters such as:
- Tutor criteria such as hourly fee charged by tutor, age & gender of tutor, tutor’s internet speed etc.
- Time slots that are convenient for scheduling your trial classes
- Time slots that are convenient for your tutoring program, in case you decide to enroll for the tutoring program after the trial class

Based on your preferences set in this form, tutors are shortlisted for your trial class.

Trial classes are scheduled as per the trial class slots provided by student at the time of applying for trial class.

During the trial class, the tutor will teach the topic that student had selected while filling the Tutor Preferences Form. In addition to the academics or studies, please feel free to discuss with the tutor about her teaching philosophy / style, credentials, experience etc.

Fees can be discussed during the trial class but cannot be negotiated. This is to ensure transparency in the transactions. Tutors are selected for the trial class based upon the hourly fees set by the student via the Tutor Preferences Form. Any attempt to negotiate the fees can lead to suspension of student’s registration at Spanedea.

We strongly recommend that parents (of the student) to interact with the tutor during the trial class.

Policies for rescheduling/ canceling trial class are as follows:
- If trial class is rescheduled or canceled, more than 12 hours in advance before the trial class, then no penalty is applicable
- If trial class is rescheduled or canceled, less than 12 hours but more than 30 minutes before the trial class, student will be charged 25% of hourly fee with her tutor as penalty.
- If trial class is rescheduled or canceled, less than 30 minutes before the trial class or there is No-show by student for the trial class, student will be charged 100% of hourly fee with her tutor as penalty.

Penalties charged for rescheduling/ cancellation are credited to the tutor’s account after adjusting for the Spanedea Service Fee. Similar policy applies to tutors also in case a tutor reschedules or cancels classes. Number of reschedulement/ cancellation instances by a Student will be shown on the Student’s dashboard. Class must be rescheduled/ canceled by student through the class schedule displayed on her Spanedea dashboard. Rescheduling/ cancellation through any other method will not be recognised by the Spanedea platform. Penalties will apply based on when is the class schedule updated on the Spanedea dashboard.

Policies for late coming for trial class or regular class are as follows:
- Student must join the class on or before the scheduled start time for class.
- If the student joins the class after 5 minutes but before 15 minutes of the scheduled class start time, then it will be marked as ‘Late Entry’ in the class.
- If Student joins the class after 15 minutes of the scheduled class start time, then it is marked as ‘No-show’ by the student. Class is deemed to be rescheduled/ canceled. No-show penalty will apply.

Penalties for late coming are as follows:
- If student is late for more than 3 classes but upto 6 classes in a month, then penalty is INR 500
- If student is late for more than 6 classes in a month, then penalty is INR 1,000

Number of late coming instances by a student will be shown on the student’s dashboard. Similar late coming policy applies to the tutors also.

At Spanedea, we are always adding new exams/ subjects to our offerings. Please send us details about your exam/ subject and we will revert if a trial class for you can be arranged with a Spanedea tutor.

A tutoring program is series of classes taken on Spanedea towards a specific academic objective. On Spanedea, almost all aspects of the program are as per your preferences - choice of tutors, timing and schedule of classes, syllabus coverage, and to a certain extent your fees. Your fees is determined by the hourly rate of the tutor you chose.

Spanedea offers following types of tutoring programs:
- Beginners Program offers in depth coverage of full syllabus for students preparing through self-study
- Challengers Program offers full syllabus review and revision for students who are taking (or already have taken) coaching
- Masters Program offers challenging problems from full syllabus for students who have mastered syllabus already
- MYTP (Make Your own Tutoring Program) covering topics in a subject that you need. Students can select from the list of topics (for any subject) offered in Beginners and Challengers to design their own program.
- TeachTime offers doubt and problem solving for students with specific needs. Buy TeachTime Credits, choose your tutor and schedule your class with Tutor of your choice. No pre-fixed class agenda and schedule is required.

Students can select a program as per her requirements and take trial class with tutors for the program selected. Alternatively, if a student is unable to on a program to should select, the student can first take trial classes with tutors and discuss with tutors before deciding the best-fit program.

MYTP is one of the most innovative programs offered by Spanedea. MYTP allows students to create TheIr own unique course based on
- topics/ sub-topics that student requires
- the depth to which student would like the tutor to cover each topic/ sub-topic (Beginner or Challenger)
- the desired completion date (approximately) of the program

Yes, students can change the program after enrollment also. In case of a program change, selected tutors may also change as all tutors do not teach all programs. Tutor change would may also result in a fees change.

Yes, they are. A defined program acts as a starting point for the student and her tutor. As the program proceeds, student can change pace of program, add or delete topics, change sequence in which topics are taught etc. in consultation with tutor. Please note any changes in the number of sessions of the program can lead to change in program fees.

Yes, you can take up tutoring sessions with different tutors for different topics to be covered in a subject.

Yes, you can purchase any number of programs at Spanedea as per your requirements.

No. You need to buy only one Trial Pack. After you have bought one tutoring program, you are eligible for free trial classes with our tutors for buying any other tutoring program.

At the start of the program, based upon the weekly time-availability provided by the student while filling Tutor Preferences Form, tutor decides a weekly class schedule for the program. The weekly schedule such selected is followed every week for the duration of the program. Weekly class schedule for the program can be viewed anytime through student’s dashboard.

Yes, you can change the weekly schedule for a program at a later stage if your tutor agrees to the new schedule.

Yes, you can. A defined program acts as a starting point for you and your tutor. As you proceed, based on your requirement, you can change pace of program, add or delete topics, change sequence in which topics are taught etc. in consultation with tutor. Please note any changes in the number of sessions of the program can lead to change in the fees of the program.

Student can send tutor class scheduling request using Spanedea dashboard. Your tutors can either accept or decline the class scheduling request. Your tutors can also send you a class scheduling request, which you can either accept or decline as per your availability.

Yes, student can cancel or reschedule pre-scheduled classes with tutors using Spanedea dashboard.

The Spanedea dashboard allows students to communicate with tutor strictly for academic purposes including scheduling classes, providing feedback on classes, sharing assignments. You can send your tutors messages and receive messages from your tutors using your Spanedea dashboard.

Using Spanedea dashboard, student can upload class notes or assignments for tutors and download questions or homework uploaded by tutors.

The Spanedea dashboard has all communication facilities required to communicate with your tutor for conducting online tutoring. In case you desire any other feature or communication tool please write to academics@spanedea.net. You should not contact tutor through any other method such as personal email, phone, skype etc. Spanedea has the right to cancel your registration on Spanedea in case of a breach of this policy.

Yes, you can. Just send us a request through your dashboard. The new tutor can start teaching from the point where old tutor left off or cover those topics again as per your requirement. In case a tutor replacement occurs, the rate as per the new tutor will be applied and the fee for the program will be adjusted accordingly.

To start a class, login to your Spanedea dashboard and go to ‘My Classes’ and then click on ‘Enter Class’ corresponding to the scheduled class to be started.

In such cases, the student should wait for tutor to enter the class. If tutor joins the class after 5 minutes of the scheduled start time of class, tutor is liable for penalties with respect to late coming. If tutor doesn’t join the class within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time of class, please leave the class. Please do not forget to provide feedback, through the form Spanedea sends you, about ‘No-Show’ by tutor. You will be paid for ‘No-Show’ by tutor.

In such an unfortunate circumstance, you can leave the class and join the class again through your dashboard after a few minutes. If problem still persists, you can end the class before the scheduled time. In feedback form you receive, indicate the reason for early discontinuation of the class. The student will be charged for the actual number of minutes before the class was discontinued.

Yes, your tutor can extend the class duration if you need extra time to complete a topic or a lesson provided your tutor does not have other class scheduled immediately after the current class.

Sessions may be recorded for security and evaluation purposes.

No, students are not supposed to exchange any personal contact details with tutors. In the event student request or reveals any such information, Spanedea reserves the right to terminate student’s Spanedea account and cancel all her classes at Spanedea. The Spanedea dashboard has all communication facilities required to communicate with your tutors for conducting online tutoring. In case you desire any other feature or communication tool please write to academics@spanedea.net.

Fees for a tutoring program will depend upon the hourly rate of the tutor selected by you. For example - if the hourly rate of tutor selected by you is Rs. 600 / hour and the recommended tutoring hours for a program are 50 hours, then total fee for that program will be INR 30,000. If program needs to extend due to syllabus not getting covered or the student needing more time - the fees may increase.

Spanedea tutors decide their own hourly tutoring rate. You can shortlist a tutor for the trial class based upon the hourly rate. Please note any changes in the number of sessions of the program due to the customization by the student can lead to change in the fees of the program.

Student pays fee to Spanedea. The fee paid by student is kept in escrow by Spanedea and is paid to tutor on a periodic basis as the classes are conducted. In case the student discontinues a tutoring program, fees for the unused sessions is refunded. Fees cannot be paid to the tutor directly. In the event of breach of this policy, Spanedea reserves the right to terminate student’s Spanedea account and cancel all her classes at Spanedea.

No, fee is non-negotiable. This is to ensure transparency in the transactions. Only those tutors are invited for trial class whose hourly rate is within the hourly rate range set by the student. Any attempt to negotiate the fees can lead to suspension of student’s registration at Spanedea.

Fees can be paid by Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Net Banking, Paypal and Cheque deposit to Spanedea’s bank account.

Total fees is paid in equal monthly instalments over the duration of the program. For example - if your tutoring program duration is 9 months and 3 weeks, fees is paid in 9 equal monthly instalments. The first installment for the program is made in advance of the program commencement. When a student purchases the program, detailed instalment plan and pay-by date is shared. This information is also accessible through the dashboard.

The student (or student’s parents) are responsible to pay all the installments on time and check for the next installment due by login to student’s Spanedea dashboard.
- If an installment due is late by 1 day, however, paid within 7 days of due date, then student will be charged INR 500 as penalty
- If an installment due is late by more than 7 days, then student will be charged INR 1000 as penalty

When the credit in the student’s account goes below the amount required for scheduling the next class (taking in to account penalties), class scheduling will stop. Number of instances of installments overdue by a student will be shown on the student’s dashboard.

Tutors are paid and students are charged for the actual number of minutes taught in a class. Class start time is taken as the time when both tutor and student are present in the class. Class end time is taken as the time when either party - student or tutor - leaves the class and does not join back in next 5 minutes.

Login to your Spanedea dashboard and go to ‘Statement’ to access your class statements on monthly basis and payment corresponding to it.

If for any reason a student want to cancel the program, Spanedea will refund your unused fees, i.e. total fees paid less fees consumed through taking tutoring sessions. Refunds as applicable will be made within 7 working days from the date a student (or student’s parents) requests for refund. The refunds will be made directly to the student’s (or student’s parents) bank account, provided proper bank account details are given.

Spanedea is designed to be browser based application. So if you have Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome installed you should be ready.

You will require desktop/laptop/tablet, broadband Internet connection, a headset (microphone-speakers combinations), webcam and a digital pen tablet.

You require a broadband connection with minimum download and upload speed of 1Mbps.

To reset your password go to http://www.spanedea.com/launch/forgot_pass. Enter your email ID registered with Spanedea and then check your inbox for the link to reset your password.

When you register on Spanedea, you automatically receive an email request to verify your address. Follow the instructions received to verify your email id. Till the time you verify your email id, your access to Spanedea account will remain restricted.
