Guide all the students appearing for engineering entrance exams Specially IIT JEE Mains and Advance, as well as their parents as I have also gone through the same while seeing my son achieve an All India Rank of 23, and get into IIT Bombay Computer Science Department.

I believe that the two years of IIT preparation are more taxing and stressful emotionally than mentally. It is a far greater test of spirit and will power than that of intellectual capacity. More than the ability to do well, you need the desire to do well. And in this endeavor, you will most likely need a very strong moral support. That is where a parent steps in. Their contribution is not in helping you learn, but in helping you to continue learning. I always had a very strong desire to achieve a good rank, but my mother was the one kept frustration and irritation at bay, always being there as a source of comfort and inspiration. I owe my success to her because she understood the efforts needed on my part, and believed that her staying with me all the time would ease out the path. So yes, my mother has been a very strong guidepost for me, and I believe that she would make a good one for all who want to do well.
I thank you very much to Mrs Neepa Shah for giving valuable guidance during the entire journey of IIT study. Initially we as a parent were unaware of the study materials and hard work required for preparation But thanks to Mrs. Neepa Shah for guiding us along with my son during various phases of learning period.

Hi Yash, Right now you are in class 10 and you have mentioned about taking Kota classes. I am not very clear with this statement. So far as guidelines are concerned I already have given tips in my blog about what are the most important points that one should try to incorporate while preparing for IIT JEE Exam. Try to follow it very effective...
Hi Swetha, Answer to your first question about being slow in calculation is not of much worry. You can overcome this problem only with stringent practise. Practise makes one perfect as well as fast in whatever he or she does. Secondly getting deviated from the situation, i think is an excuse. I believe there are two catagories in which...
Hi Rohan, Partly what your parents have said that hard work is the key to success is correct, but it is not completely true. For JEE preparation everyone needs some guidance as well as the peer group to compete with. Without peer group and good guidance how are you going to solve your difficulties as well as find out where you stand in...
Hi Swetha, Firstly you have not mentioned about which class you are into 11th or 12th? Without that it will be little difficult to guide you. But in nut shell I can tell you that you have to be extremely devoted if you really want to make it to IIT. Do not waste much time and just keep working hard. Be positive and fearless. Bests, N...
